Alyssa Abbey High Performance Development Consultant

Alyssa Abbey

Alyssa Abbey is an energy management expert with nearly 20 years experience of helping people to create sustainable energy levels. She has worked with thousands of individuals from all walks of life helping them to reframe the way they perceive energy, and motivating them to put the habits in place that will reduce stress and increase vitality.

As a former US National triathlete with an MSc in Sports Science, she understands the challenges of maintaining a training schedule alongside career, study or caring responsibilities. Her work as a BUPA Stress Management Consultant takes her into many high-pressure corporate environments, but she works with all walks of life in her private Vitality practice, Live with Energy.

As BUPA’s manager of Corporate Wellbeing (2000 – 2003), Alyssa saw too many clients who were underperforming due to exhaustion and stress. She learned that training about how to energise and de-stress is great, but there is a critical element of personal responsibility and the right mindset to create change.

Alyssa uses Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and related methods to help clients get past their excuses and connect to what is really important to them. Then they can build habits to strengthen all four aspects of energy: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Current and past clients include Ernst and Young, Unilever, Google, Morgan Stanley and PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Alyssa is co-author of ‘Organisational Stress’ (with Henley Management College) and ‘Stop Making Excuses and Start Living with Energy’. She also presents a weekly radio show - Vitalize - on Express FM in Portsmouth, all about energy and how to have more of it.

Alyssa’s mission is to help people understand how their choices impact them and others, and to fulfill their fabulous potential to live life with joy, love, light, and laughter.
