Marianne Fryer has over ten years experience working in the field of human resources and people development in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. She began her career in recruitment where she quickly became a top fee earner in a consultancy of over 200 people. She then spent over five years working for the global professional services firm Deloitte, providing HR consultancy to senior management and delivering key strategic projects.
In 2005, Marianne began working with Raleigh International, initially as a project manager on an expedition in a remote part of Namibia where she facilitated the development of volunteers through the construction of a school. On returning to the UK, Marianne carried on her work with Raleigh International running a variety of courses which focussed on the use of experiential techniques to develop self-awareness and the behaviours associated with strong leadership and high performing teams.
Marianne continues to help individuals and teams from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures to maximise their potential. She specialises on facilitating this development by using practical, realistic scenarios and real-life community based projects.
Marianne graduated from Manchester University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). She is a keen runner, regularly participating in competitive events such as 10k’s and half-marathons and has sailed for most of her life. Marianne currently lives in London.
